I was going to save this for later, but Liza kept bugging me about it and I couldn't get the image out of my head. You have any idea how distracting it is for the werewolf in my head to be shouting "Somebody fix that goddamned plothole!" in my ear? So I got it out of my head and onto paper (pixels?), hopefully leaving room for the next page.
The plot hole is dealt with in the later parts of the manga - Sylvia's comments on the last page are paraphrasing some things she said in the manga. I don't know if that was the intention from the beginning or if it was a genuine plot hole.
