It's probably a bit out of character for Hiro to elbow Liza like that. Actually, it's a bit out of character for him to overtly show annoyance at all. But in my expert opinion, Hiro has a severe case of Generic Male Protagonist Syndrome and as a symptom suffers from a chronic lack of personality. So I'm trying to help him out a bit here. Although sometimes it can be pretty hard to think of things for him to do in a scene.
