Harmony: character concept sketch

So let me introduce you to Harmony.  She's cutesy, silly, saccharine, and definitely nowhere nearly as harmless as she looks.  Although she typically dresses and acts like an eight year old, she's actually in her early twenties and is fairly tall - 175 cm (5' 9").  Let's just say she's not the most emotionally stable person in the world.  There are reasons for that - she was raised by an order of monks dedicated to mysticism and martial arts.  The monks weren't intentionally abusive, but they left her pretty messed up.  She's also mildly obsessed with cats.

I'm thinking of ditching the ahoge - it just gets lost in the rest of her hair.  I guess I should add ahoges to the list of things I apparently can't draw.  LOL  I'm thinking an ahoge with twintails is just a bit much anyway.

The design in the upper right is unrelated - it's part of a background I did for another piece years ago.  But I kinda haven't gotten around to buying a new sketch book, and since this started as a very preliminary sketch, I figured why not use a mostly blank page?

I haven't felt up to arting much this summer, and I figured messing around with a few loose ideas knocking around in my head might be a good way to try to get myself moving again.  So fear not, Princess Blackmail will continue.
